Good taste is overrated

Good taste is overrated. On the basis of this people can say whatever they want about socks and

 sandals. I know a big part of you understand the point of this blog (and I guess that´s why you follow

 it) so this text will probably be irrelevant for you but sometimes it is necessary for people who do not

 want to understand, to understand. Basically what I want is to have fun and experiment as much as I

 wearably can and, obvious differences aside, I like to think that what I do has a lot to do with Miuccia

 Prada way of thinking, who always says in interview that what she´s interested is not beauty, but

 ugliness, and starting from there, in building something different. That rare element (I don´t dare calling

 it ugly) is what interests me for many of my looks. Believe me, it´s actually a really cool feeling to

 wear things that other people find vulgar and ugly when you have an inner speech that has nothing to

 do with the obvious, which many see. Not attempting to justify anything here, this is my space, I don´t

 have to give any counts to anyone, but it´s true that there are times that I just can´t believe how simple

and plain the mentality of some people who anonymously leave comments as absurd and 

incomprehensible as my looks may be can be so, well, I guess there is an inversely proportional thing

 going on there. I know sometimes they just come out of boredom or a bad day. The thing is if these 

people want to see sappy, boring looks they should know there are plenty of blogs from beautiful girls

 out there, in fact I´m sure there are, at least, fifteen of them living in the same street as you.

 Meanwhile I will continue having fun with fashion as I´ve been doing all my life and

I cling to this quote I wrote in my phone that I heard somewhere:

El buen gusto está sobrevalorado. Partiendo de ahí la gente puede decir lo que quiera sobre sandalias

(o chanclas) con calcetines. Sé que una gran parte de vosotros comprendéis de que va este blog

(y entiendo que por eso lo seguís) por lo que este parrafo os será irrelevante pero a veces es necesario

 que la gente que no quiere entender, entienda. Partiendo de que lo que quiero es divertirme y 

experimentar dentro de lo posible y lo ponible y salvando las diferencias, me gusta pensar que lo que

 hago tiene mucho que ver con el discurso de Miuccia Prada, quien en sus entrevistas siempre explica

 que lo que a ella le interesa no es la belleza, es lo feo, y partiendo de ahí construir algo diferente. Esa

 rareza (no me atrevo a llamarlo fealdad) es la que a mi me interesa experimentar y ponerme. Creedme,

 es un sentimiento muy guay ponerse cosas que la gente entiende como vulgares y feas cuando uno

 tiene un discurso interior que nada tiene que ver con lo obvio, con lo que muchos ven. No intento

 justificar nada, este es mi espacio, aquí no tengo que dar cuentas a nadie, pero es cierto que hay veces 

que no doy crédito con lo simple y llana que puede ser la mentalidad de algunas de las personas que,

 anónimamente, dejan comentarios tan absurdos e incompresibles como lo pueden ser mis looks, así

 que, bueno, supongo que hay una relación inversamente proporcional ahí. Ya sé que a veces es

 aburrimiento o simplemente mala leche. El caso es que si lo que ellos quieren ver son looks ñoños,

 aburridos e igualitos unos a otros deberían saber que hay muchos blogs de chicas divinas que podéis

 visitar, de hecho, en vuestro edificio seguro que viven quince de ellas. Mientras tanto yo seguiré 

divirtiendome con la moda como lo llevo haciendo toda mi vida y me aferro a esa frase que tengo 

apuntada en el móvil que oí en alguna parte: Defiende tu sombrero por muy ridículo que parezca
